Orientation 2016

IWM participants in 2016 Orientation

IWMs are introduced to San Fernando Cathedral by Sister Martha Ann Kirk during orientation.

The IWMs began their missionary experience by spending ten days on the banks of the San Antonio River meeting and sharing meals with the Sisters of the Incarnate Word, learning about the history and charism of the Sisters, understanding the culture of the countries where they will serve and spending time getting to know each before they go live in community.

They also took some time to explore the Blue Hole, swim in the San Pedro Springs, have a bison burger at the Cove and play a little volleyball.

Orientation is a time of spiritual and practical preparation and allows missionaries time to reflect on the journey that lies ahead.
